Event description:

The 2020 Yale Day of Instrumentation will continue to explore the connection between instrumentation development and science at Yale and provide a forum to collect your ideas and input on directions for instrumentation development on campus. The goal of this event is to seek input from the campus community in order to flesh out the definition of instrumentation development at Yale, enhance campus-wide understanding of what is available for instrumentation development at Yale, and to gather ideas for future strategic initiatives.
Specifically, some of the questions we hope to explore are:
What is instrumentation development at Yale?
What is the role of instrumentation development in the science priorities?
What is the relation between instrumentation development and core facilities?
More information on the 2020 Yale Day of Instrumentation will soon be available at:
https://instrumentation.yale.edu
Since the inaugural Yale Day of Instrumentation last year the Office of the Provost has charged a university-wide committee to help oversee the planning of the 2020 Yale Day of Instrumentation, steer the development of the instrumentation initiative at Yale, and help develop recommendations for future strategic initiatives according to the science strategy outlined in the University Science Strategy Committee report.
We hope you will join us for this exciting symposium!
